- Keep your old SIM in your device.
- Log in to the Nova Hub and request to bring your number to Nova.
- You’ll receive a text message from 2542 letting you know the transfer process is underway.
- It usually takes around 2 hours for the transfer to go through, at which point you'll lose service on your old SIM.
- When you lose service, power off your device and then pop in your new Nova SIM.
- Power on your device and your number will be active on your new Nova SIM.
If you have an iPhone we also recommend turning iMessage off and on. You can find this under Settings > Messages > iMessage. iPhones are known to have slight delays in updating their texting services (for up to 24 hours). The above steps should help resolve any issues you have.
